Melissa stands-in with “One For The Road”

Before Covid reared its ugly head Melissa and I were busy with folk-rock band “The Dogends” doing pubs, clubs, birthdays, weddings e.t.c. The Dogends didn’t survive the pandemic and our involvement in the local folk-music scene has increased but Melissa missed working with a live-band. She was asked to stand in for one gig with a friend’s band ‘One For The Road’ because their steel-guitarist couldn’t be there for some reason. No rehearsal. A set-list by email and wing it on the day. Well, they seem to like her because she’s done three dates with them now and there are more in the diary. I went along to one at ‘The Forrester’s’ in Bagshot. Good band. Very entertaining.
